Ok, we're all addicts here, and we're facing our fears. So, with that said, what's the most (truthfully) that you've EVER spent on a device (BlackBerry & mobiles in general), not inlcuding accessories?

I'll start: I'm Navilyn, and am true 'device' addict. I've spent $599.99 on a Motorola MPx220 (no contract)...

I'm Mara and it is "Clear as Day" that I am a gadget addict - a serious one!!

Quite a few years back I spent $1200 for what at the time was a very cool and thin Nokia cell phone.....cutting edge at the time - today it could knock someone out cold Not as big though...as the Motorola brick!!

The only Blackberry I have bought (and am still using now) is my 7250....I paid 300.00 or so plus tax. I won a case for it in a contest on another forum site, so I didn't have to buy that

I once owned the Bang & Olufsen Serene and they retail around 1100 when they first came out....Awesome design....but try texting on that...

Although Fatreg will possibly hold the record....He did have a Nokia Vertu RRP 3450...........

I thought I was bad, I have nothing on any of you. And to think I was making a fuss earlier to spend $500 on a 8800. I really have to get my priorities in order...

But wht you need to understand is that i used to source phones alot for people and often payment was made in the form of being able to source myself things...

I then traded the Serene for two Nokia 8800 (one being a Ltd Porsche Edition) and something else...from Fatreg...

I then found him his Vertu and he had it gutted and rebuilt with new interior and updates Firm and Hardware...

at a cost of something like 600

Then I introduced him to BB -

I lost my first 8700g that I payed $199.00 with updated contract and had to buy another for a great $499.00. Then I lost that one and got another for $349.00. That one got damaged so I got another for $362.00. Then I went to sprint and got a 8703e and payed $150 with new contract. HELP!

True - Insurance is good, although here claiming for a phone no matter the circumstances is a nightmare!

Deductible at T-Mobile is $110. I just feel for the poor Cingular customers who don't even have insurance available to them.

But the downside is when you go out and buy an 8800 from Cingular and then use it on T-Mobile... no insurance for me

Definitely would have to be this BlackBerry... previously any phone I bought would be free with contract or no more than $100 for sure. This one was $500 and something but I bought the car charger with it so it might've been just under $500.

If I would've waited til May 1st, I would've saved an extra $75 (Sprint Upgrade program, I saved $75 as it is) but I was impatient. Totally worth it tho!

No insurance. The deductable is $120.00 plus $9 a month. Just have to watch my berry like a hawk!

I paid $400 for my BB 7130c b/c my contract hadn't run out yet. I just couldn't wait to get my hands on one.

I paid $300 bucks, WAY back when, for a Motorola Star Tac (with the flip hinge on the bottom). Remember those??? Or am I just showing my age?

There was a sing songy commercial that went "Flip phone is the phone you can own...........a whole new look a whole new style........Flip phone is the phone of the future.............."

    Okay, sorry for blabbing..............

Is this not an item that can be covered on the House Insurance Policy?

Probably could, but the deductible is higher than $110, and not worth making a claim on that and risking a rate hike.

I have to say if anything ever happened to my BB, i would just replace it by getting a new (like immediately) one.

I have various sources where i could get one......in the mean time, in the cupboard is a 7290 and 7100
