I tried Nimbuzz for a few days and I loved it. My only problem, it would keep getting disconnected for 5-10 seconds about 3-4 times every hour. This wouldn't have been such a huge problem for me but I kept missing messages which were sent while it was disconnected, and all unread messages.

hello, new user here. had my blackberry since october 08. found out about skype about a month ago when i saw it on the psp. been looking at the forums for a long time and i always seem to find my answer by searching. however i can't find the answer to my questions. here is my situation:

my heavily discounted plan with sprint is about to end and i just need a cheap solution to keep talking with my friends and family (just within the US, no long distance or anything special) . heres what ive been looking at...ive seen skype's plans and they have a unlimited US $2.95 calling plan. so what im trying to do is just get a data plan only and get iskoot on the blackberry without a voice plan.

im using the sprint curve 8330 and have a few questions with iSkoot:

would i need the BIS/BES or can i use(if possible) a regular data plan?(ive heard opera mini works on the t-mobile phones without the BIS/BES)

do i need to have a voice plan with sprint to use iSkoot?( i know iskoot takes me to the phone app when i make a test call)

if this wont work what would be my cheapest possible solution you can come up with?

--thank you guys and i love this site.

iSkoot is one of my favorite aps. It has saved me hundreds of dollars.

Anyone who talks a lot, on the phone, should get it.

After waiting too long for the official Skype client, iSkoot was recommended, installed it today and very impressed. Chats, skypeout, works great on my Bold. Can't believe this is free, speaking of which, Crackberry, why isn't this on your mobile site under Free Downloads?
