Yes, but a 8 bucks you could buy a few and have backups and keep you door and holsters. I guess I prefer the cheaper option even if it's a bit more work!

I bought an inexpensive spare on eBay. I assume it's OEM but at the price I paid, who knows.

With that said, I do like the idea of going an entire weekend (or one of my destination wedding gigs) without swapping batteries. If the Seidio checks out as truly having the performance it claims, I'll pay $60 for the convenience.

Ok, I sent them an email last nite and they got back to me this morning, very quickly I might add. I told them that I already have the battery from my previous purchase when I ordered it for the Storm and that I just needed the door itself. This is what they wrote back to me:

Now I'm not sure if they are doing this because I already placed an order with them prior or they will do this for anyone. It's worth a shot to ask them. Needless to say I already emailed them back with all the info and I am looking forward for that battery door to arrive. For $18.90 I'm not going to complain at all.

Almost $20 for just the cover? I think I'd get another battery at the same time. It never hurts to have more juice.

I've had the 2600 since last week. Out of curiosity, I haven't charged it all weekend. I removed it from the charger at 9:00AM Friday morning. It's now 3:00AM Monday morning and it's at 60%.

Friday it saw what I consider medium use, several conference calls (speaker phone), lots of email, text, some web surfing, bluetooth enabled, GPS is always enabled, etc.. Saturday-Sunday it saw rather light use. A few calls, bluetooth off, a few emails, some light web surfing, etc.. My old OEM battery had to see the charger EVERY night after medium/heavy use.

I'm going to put it on the charger tonight, and see how it does on a typical heavy Monday use case. My old battery barely made it through the day...

Two Thumbs up on the power so far.

The back cover is NICE. It barely adds any width to the device, and it does so in a very aesthetic manner. It feels very good in my hands (solid), feels very ergonomic, and the gel like texture is pleasant to the touch. It fits in my OEM case without any trouble.

Light day of use, amazingly quiet for a Monday. I took it off the charger at 9:00AM. I turned bluetooth on and left my Jawbone on/paired with it all day. Some email, a few calls...that's about it.

By 8:30PM, I was ready for bed (unusual for me, but hey). I went to Options/Status and it said by battery was 100%.

Crazy!

Ill give a full review in a few more days. Ive had this battery since the 15th, I want to give it time to hit FULL potential. I will tell you this though:

OEM battery (which was pretty decent), I would play a talk radio show that I like on IHeartRadio. I would start at 100%, and after about 3.5 to 4 hours of playing the show at max volume, with no other apps running, my phone would die. So at the best, I could listen to the show for 4 hours, although it was usually closer to 3 and a half.

Today I just tested the Seidio 2600 mAh extended battery, same conditions, same talk radio show, same volume. Two variables: My battery life was at 80% when I started listening to my radio show, I did very very little web surfing, just checked my facebook a few times, and email. I was able to listen to the WHOLE 5 hour show, full volume. From 80%, when the show ended 5 hours later, I was at 20%.

Hopefully in a few more days, that Seidio battery will be at full ability, although it may already be. We will see.

Anyways, end result of this little test:
*OEM Battery went from 100% to shutting off, at an average of 210 minutes.

*Seidio 2600 started at 80%, lasted the FULL 300 minutes, leaving me with 20% battery life.

I just did a little bit of math in my head. Now this is more speculation then anything. Real testing wouldn't have so many variables.

I tested the Seidio battery at 80% instead of 100%. And after 5 hours of radio at max volume, I ended up with 20% power left. So technically, if I had started at 100%, I would have ended with 40% battery life after 5 hours of radio.

The OEM battery, would last 4 hours MAX, doing the exact same thing, only it wouldn't have any power left after those 4 hours. So with OEM, dead in 4 hours, means I was losing 25% battery power an hour.

With the extended battery, if I had started the testing at 100%, I would have probably had 40% life after 5 hours. that's 60% battery power loss in a 5 hour time span. that's a 12% battery decrease per hour.

OEM= 25% power decrease per hour
Extended= 12% power decrease per hour

I don't know about you guys, but that sure as **** sounds like Seidio was accurate in saying "up to 90% battery life increase".

I've been considering purchasing the extended battery but the problem there becomes my Phantom Skinz obviously isn't designed for the extended back door. What do you guys think?

Just got my battery cover today from Seidio. I already charged my 2600 over the weekend to prepare it. Usually my Seidio 1600 standard size lasted the whole day from 630am to like 930pm. Average 300-400 sms/mms, fb, twitter, dozen or so short calls, 2 email accts, bb weather, bbm, aim, myspace. I have 110mb free. Tomorrow I will officially test out the 2600 and get back with the results with how much battery life I have left @ the same time. As far as the feel....it feels great in the hand, not too bulky like I thought it was gonna be, the fit is perfect, no gaps, quality looks great. Well worth the 19 bucks imo.

I just wish that more companies had cases that were compatible with the extended doors and batteries. I would love it if Otterbox would look into it.

Well for 2 days I tested it and the 1st day @ 930pm I had 55% left and last nite I had 60% left so in my case the battery could last me 2 days b4 a recharge. Very happy once again with the fit and finish of the battery cover as well as the performance of the battery itself.
