Default WHERE Now on the BlackBerry Tour

We are happy to announce that our WHERE application is now available on the newly launched BlackBerry Tour 9630 device on Verizon. WHERE on the BlackBerry Tour functions very similarly to our versions for the BlackBerry Storm & BlackBerry Bold. WHERE on the Tour features an at-a-glance homescreen layout, for easy access to your favorite local information. WHERE comes pre-packed with some of our most popular GPS based widgets including, News, Weather, Gas Station Locator, Yelp & Eventful, plus many more. WHERE’s newest social networking venue, the WHERE Wall is also available on the BlackBerry Tour.

Default WHERE will not run on Tour

I installed WHERE and tried running it. When it asked if I wanted to use the GPS, I declined. Nothing happened after that. I tried to run the application many more times, but nothing happens (nothing at all!). I deleted it, removed it from my App World (using Alt R-S-T), reinstalled it, and still it will not run. (It only asked about the GPS that first time). I tried uninstalling it and re-downloading it a few more times and still nothing happens.

What do I have to do to get this application to run?

Thanks!

Hey SundayBerry,
I think I have a solution for you! While you're in the WHERE application, go to your menu and click “Set Location” this should prompt you to change your address either manually (using an address, zip code or city and state) or using GPS.

If WHERE is still unable to get a GPS location check to make sure you have all your permissions set correctly to ‘Allow’ for the WHERE application. You can check this by going to Options - Advanced - Applications - WHERE - Permissions. But most likely, clicking on "Set Location" in the menu should solve your problem.

Let me know how this works out for you!
