Default some svg coding help plz...how to add text to 3rd party app/dock icon?

Hi folks,

I have a theme I'm producing but I'd like to polish it off a lil more. I have a dock on left side that comprises 3 icons. These icons are 3rd party buttons that upon activate or focusin, control a dock each that comes out on the right side.

The animations are all working. But obviously, when I focus on the left side dock icons (the 3rd party ones) nothing shows up on the status text. This is where I want it to show Home, My Apps and Media for example.

How do I go about either coding this directly into the svg or doing it in composer please?

One way is to just simply make the text with a transparent background and connect it with your icon. But of course it will be permanent.

Default Clock Icon in Zen Tesla

On your real Storm, use Options/....to discover that the OS uses the module name net_rim_bb_clock. Put this into the third party launch slot in Composer. Ooops, didn't really read the question. Sorry 'bout that ! Best I have been able to come up with in my Zen Tesla theme is attached. Here we are looking down, down inside and the OS echoes the Clock focus at the top. If you placed this on your custom home screen, it would not echo, but by using the button style I advocate, you at least see something.

Hmm, Doc not sure I understood your post mate.

Jerde, when you say text with transparent background and connect it to my icon, are you talking about setting a pre animate tag for the text as hidden;hidden and then later using the animate tags to make is visible;visible upon the icon activate/focusin state? If that made sense

Cause thats the only thing I've been able to come up with myself.

Making the text, and yes with transparent background, placing it in composer where the rest of the status text shows and then using the animate tags to define when it should be visible or hidden.

No, I'm quite certain he wasn't meaning the status text option in tb. But thanks anyways.
