Default Plazmic Newbie

Hello!!!
I am a newbie to Plazmic I am very interested in making my own themes! I have downloaded the Official Plazmic from the website, a simulator, and GIMP software as well. The only problem is that I don't know how to use the software because I've never had it before. Are there any tutorials online or anything helpful when it comes to making custom things for the Plazmic?

For example: I'm really interested in changing the "button focus" and things like that..I know I just have to play around with it, but I wasn't sure if anybody had any links to any sites that offer help with Plazmic or the GIMP software to make the things..Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in Advance...

basically, photoshop is your friend. Look in the folder s to find the default pics and see the sizes (i.e 86x86). Then just make a new pic to replace it. Start off simple nad work your way up. Remember: baby steps

yeah, you just have to learn. I picked up a few things from here:

this post will explain how to have half sized icons
Composer Hints and Tips

this post will explain hidden docks, i suggest watching all the tut's in order:
Hidden Dock Explained!

after the first two this one will come in handy. Hidden dock with highlighter:

not sure if these will be something you'd be interested in but they did help me alot.

Search here and check out the Pinstack forums as well. Two great sources and browsing each will do more than most "literature" you'll find. Start out by utilizing the "samples" folder in TB. You can use images from there and resize or get even more creative using Photoshop or similar. When you start getting serious, you can delve into Composer and get really lost like all the rest of us.

my question is when you set an image to the icon screen, where you press BB key, or touch the screen with the store on an empty space. the picture shows up clear portrait. but in land scape it gets all fuzzy.

is there a way i can try to set a different image? or the same image with a clearer res?
