Default general rules regarding battery/signal meters?

Just wondering what rules of thumb I need to follow regarding making my own bettery and/or signal meters.

Am I right in that the total canvas size (for battery meter for instance) has to be 528x40? And that each individual "meter" has to be 44x20?

Or is it only the total canvas size that matters? Or none of it matters so long as each "meter" is exactly the same size? Not sure if the number of "states" is also important or not?

Any info appreciated.

hi there, you can have it whatever size ya want, as long as you make sure you keep the right ammount of spacing and the same ammount of states as the original

Dave is absolutly right here...The Size doesnt matter as long as it is dividable perfectly by the number of states..and the spacing is the big thing..

My Theme Has a battery meter that is 200x20 (thats just what you see, not the total size) and my network meter is 75x20...and thats just my homescreen my banners have larger than normal meters as well..

Check out the theme link in my signature to see screen shots...
