151 Is Not My Friend any Ideas :: From WJD Designs

I am a Trusted Theme Dev in the community and had a few themes on the front page and work hard to make my customers happy... Normally if theres a problem with my stuff I never ask anyone since I want to learn myself and I do pretty good at it... but lately this .151 OS with the cute transitions and the color banding removed for the 9500 has made everyone download it so none of my themes are working... I use the latest plamic, Im so frustrated everyone... im on my knees praying someone to be a friend and help me out...

If you know any info on making themes work with 151 or a work around..anything..im planning on doin it to all my themes just in case... I tell people to wait since beta leaks are BETA for a reason lol but I have not seen another leak yet... HELP!

If anyone can PM me or w/e I will throw them one of my themes as a thank you and I dont make lame ones

Also wanted to say good job with flooding this place with questions and others helping...without a community like this nothing would be done right haha

hi i also seem to be having the same problem, and have tried several different ways, i.e with and without svg`s, different colours in the hope its to do with the image quality, but after many different things i just cant pin it down at all, just seems some work and some dont, would at least be helpful if rim would update the simulators, even just to .141 (uk) or .148(us) as .75 is still the only version

I've never sold a theme, so I'm not gaining any money. I've gotten my themes to work on the version of .151 on my Storm. I spent a couple of days trying to figure it out. I started off with a default theme with just my SVG file and it worked fine, so obviously that wasn't the issue. I then started changing the icons, one by one, and still it worked. Then started changing the fonts and started running into problems. So I set all the fonts back to defaults and the theme worked again on .151. So I changed the fonts one at a time to find the culprit. Under "Theme the Application Icons Screen" the "Icon Font" must be default. If you have it set to any other font, the theme fails on .151. If you have it bold, or italics, it fails. It must be set to the default "BBAlpha Sans" size "15", white, not bold, not italicized, but anti-aliased. If not, or unsure, click on "Icon Font:" ( the words ), and then click reset to default...

I will say it works on my version and a couple of friends Storms that are running .151 hybrid. The version I am running is from 9530 WITH .151 transitions-.148/.151/5.0.93 (lyricidal's beta hybrid) I downloaded the java files and followed the instructions. And my themes work fine on it as well as somdfisher's theme ( blue carbon ) after he changed the fonts back to default.

But, I was told my themes don't work for 151 V7.1? I asked the person where they got their files from, but they never responded. I'm assuming I have version 7.0, but I don't know.

Anyways, if some other theme developers want to give this a shot and have people that are running .151 to test it out, feel free. I know my themes started working afterwards, and that's the only thing I changed, was that one font back to default.

Thank you guys for posting this...but its not like there havent been Text Issues with all OS versions...so its really not that supprising to hear it...They give you more drop downs in Theme Builder for text than anything else and everyone you change seems to add a new problem in one place or another...
