I'm seeing $79.95 after $70 rebate for a price. Not sure if there is a different price for MAM accounts.

Ditto, and I made it known. I'm not happy with Crackberry these days.

If it's not Verizon or Sprint, American CDMA carriers don't get no front page time. And that's BS!!!

I just got my wife the 8530 for Christmas and I like it. The trackpad is cool.

I can't decide between the tour and the curve. Tour would have been nice when I was in Aruba last week.

That's awesome. I'll go talk to my local USCC store and get the price difference. And the Tour's only $149.99 before MIR.

I also need to call in and get a difference on that... >.>
    Right now it charged $149 pre-rebate and then $79 post-rebate. :<

! Just noticed that's for Chicago, IL ONLY. Looked up my zipcode and prices are back to what they were. What gives?

The Chicago market often has promotional pricing that other markets don't get in order to compete with the nationals.

I'm like three hours away from Chicago, IL. You think they would honor the price? :P

No. You have to have a local number to get the pricing for any given market.

    Maybe if you start a new account and take a local Chicago # (i.e. a 312 )

    Camera:
    Tour - 3.2MP
    8530 - 2MP

    Screen:
    Tour - 480x360 and 2.4in
    8530 - 320x240 and 2.5in

    Data Speed:
    Tour - EVDO Rev A
    8530 - EVDO Rev 0

    Materials:
Reviews indicate that the Tour is better constructed with higher quality materials, the 8530 is definitely a cheaper device featuring mostly plastics where the Tour has more high quality rubber and chrome.

    Keyboard:
This is a matter of personal preference but I always thought the 8830 and Tour had superior keyboards to the original Curve.
The 8530's keyboard looks to be improved but it's hard to tell without handling one.

The 8530 does however add WiFi, the optical trackpad, and the external media controls on the top, none of which the Tour has. The 8530 is also slightly smaller and lighter.

I am a 1yr 8330 user...and really like it, but have not seen a Tour. The camera and screen difference seem to be pretty minor. I guess I will check them both out at the store and see what I think. Thanks.

I own a Tour, but I've also owned an 8520. The 8500 series is GREAT for the money.

The screen size is negligible, the screen resolution is worlds apart. The Tour's screen is simply gorgeous. The Tour's camera also has an autofocus, making is a very very nice camera phone.
