    Hey All,

    Just a quick question....

I've noticed over the past couple of days that my mobile internet has become painfully slow, even with using WIFI. In fact there doesn't seem to be any difference between using edge or WIFI.

This is having a knock on effect whilst using BB maps or Google Maps etc. Email, sms etc are all fine.

I don't think I've changed any settings, or at least not purposely anyway.

Can you think of any reason why this would happen? and perhaps more importantly, how to fix it?

I am on T-Mobile UK contract with unlimited data via BIS.

    Thanks for any help

    Neil

Go to Options > Mobile Network... is Connection Preference set to Wi-Fi Preferred??? This might help use your Wi-Fi when you are connected.

    Hi There,

I don't see this as an option in the Options>Mobile Network menu.

    All I have is:-
Data Services - on, off or off when roaming (currently set to on)
    Mobile Network - T-Mobile
Network Selection Mode - Automatic or Manual (currently set to Manual)

There is nothing about WIFI preferred

Strange... however, my Network Selection Mode is set to Automatic... change that and exit, then come back in and see if there is a Connection Preference.

Also, do another Battery Pull... leave your device on, pull the battery, leave it out 20 seconds, then put it back in and wait for the device to boot up.

OK so I tried all of the above and I still have no option to make a Connection Preference.

I can see a call to T-Mobile coming on!

Thanks for the help so far though

Your os is somewhat old, but shouldn't be causing this ultimately. I'd upgrade to .250.

Try to clear your Browser Cache:

Browser > BB Button > Options > Cache Operations > Clear each one.

    Hi All,

Just a quick update for you.

I took Lazerus' advice and upgraded the os to .250

I then cleared down all of the cache memory.

My system now seems to be functioning correctly again and is back up to normal speed.

I have no idea what the issue was, but it has either been sorted by doing one or both of the above, or it has cleared itself.

Anyway thanks to everyone for their input. Muchly appreciated.

    Cheers

    Neil
