Note: The Software Platform and Applications version numbers can be found under Options-About screen on the handheld.

For install instruction to load any carrier 8900 OS on your BB:

1. Download desired OS to your PC
2. Install/run OS to PC
3. Delete vendor.xml file. It's located in c:\program files\common files\research in motion\apploader (If your not on Orange UK)
4. Connect BB to Desktop Manager and it should prompt the upgrade. If not click app loader and that should initialize it.
5. Do not unplug BB during the process. It will take around 30-60 minutes to complete upgrade.

Supported languages appear to include:
Arabic
Catalan
Czech
Dutch
English (US/UK)
French
Galician
German
Hebrew
Hungarian
Italian
Polish
Portugese (European/Brazilian)
Russian
Spanish
Turkish

This looks like a first. I have not previously seen a carrier release higher than a beta. Great stuff.

Who needs a beta OS forum when you have an 8900 - lol.

I jokingly told the wife that I was excited last night because there's a leaked OS for the 8900. She rolled her eyes and said "what happened to our marriage". Funny.

Another OS release thats how many in the last month?
So whats new in the 206 release? im still running 174 which
running great! I need a good reason to change over to 206.

by the way is this release just for "orange UK" or can anyone use it?
