Just found (on our fellow BB enthousiasts site pinstack.com) a link to a Telefonica Venezuela official BlackBerry OS download.
Because I don't have enough points to post a url I have put the link in my signature https://www.blackberry.com/Downloads...CACC2C2F2F26C7
The upgrade has finished, the whole process took about 20 minutes! That's a lot faster than what I was used to with my 8820.
No problems during the upgrade process. (BTW: I'm using DM 4.6)
At the moment the device is busy with Enterprise Activation (yep, I'm on BES)
As soon as that is finished I'll start hammering away
Will update the thread if there's something new to report

Great!But, my wipe + load 4.6.1.101 take 5 minutes with DM 4.7...
also to post URLS with out 10 posts... post the message with the automatic URL parsing disabled (check box under the text input window) once posted edit the post and the URL will be parsed
Ok, after playing with my favorite CrackBerry for a little while, here are a few things that I noticed are different from v.101
Camera response is much better. After autofocussing, when I press the 'shutter' button, it takes the pic almost immediately. No more 2 sec waiting! Thumbs up for RIM!
Media player response is much better, with video and with music
Hard to measure, but it seems that the overall responsiveness has improved
Obviously, it's too early to say anything about battery life... I will update on that tomorrow
And this is what it looks like with the updated OS:
tried searching this. would installing this OS void any warranty. i'm with rogers. went to their website and they have no os updates for the 8900. sorry if its a noob question. thanks.

Your warranty won't be void. If you encounter any problems, you can always go back to your original Rogers firmware. Even if you need to get your bb replaced under warranty, it's no problem.
