Thumbs up javelin in next 30-60 days tmobile

just talked to my rep about getting several new curves for our office and he suggested i wait a month for the new model blackberries they are going to be getting. he said multiple new berries will be released for tmobile over the next 60 days. i wonder what else besides the javelin they have up their sleeves? also they have dropped their pricing on the curve to $99!

He quoted me $99 a piece due to new releases coming out.

Probably the Javelin and the atrocity that is the KickStart. (kidding) But that's only a couple. I read multiple. Maybe I won't have to unlock a Halle Berry (Storm/Thunder) afterall.

What is T-Mobile's policy on selling to non-customers? I'm an AT&T customer. Would I be able to walk in and buy one unsubsidized and have it unlocked or will they only sell to their customers? Would ebay be a better choice?

Not really sure if they have a policy other than jacking up the price. You might get someone that will try to talk you into a contract, that's it.

Yes you can purchase the device without a contract and then get it unlocked. I would go that route instead of buying one off of ebay that is already unlocked.

Prices for the Curve on TMO's website have jumped from $149 to $199... I noticed this change yesterday.

As for talking to any sales rep... take it with a big grain of salt... they all try to talk up about the next big release, and they usually don't know what they are talking about. I'm just going to continue looking at CB and see when the Javelin gets release somewhere else first... then keep my eye on TMO. Personally, I would not be looking until Nov or Dec... hopefully before Christmas.
