And great for future reference, I hate going through the CSR's to get there.

I was wondering if anyone had exchanged an 8900 purchased from Customer Care at a T-Mo store?

So I just got off the phone with customer loyalty department. Without me even mentioning back orders he said, "Well we definitely have the phone in stock, there are absolutely no back orders". He said sometimes with expedited shipping, the phone goes out so fast and ships that the information on ups and the info you get when you call tmobile dont have a chance to update. I ordered mine on the 14th and he said I should have it by tomorrow. So hopefully this isn't another **** story. We shall see. I'll be sure to update you all.

Like so many others, I too have not received my phone. I have my screen protector and my skin but no phone! I got it through retentions for 179.99 since I just upgraded in November. I don't NEED the phone, but I WANT it! Can't get here soon enough!

Can't you people just let me bask in my own world for a while where cell phone orders come on time and CSR's don't seem like your just talking to the same recording that brought you to them, lol.

I ordered mine on the 11th at 6pm through the Loyality Department. It was shipped the next day (via ground), and I got it yesterday (from KY to FL). I guess i just got lucky.

Well if I don't have it tomorrow, I'm canceling my order. I'd rather go hunt for a t-mobile store that has one than wait in the unknown as to when mine is going to even ship out. And I'm going to threaten to cancel my service and squeeze a discount or a free month out of them for my troubles.

good luck canceling your order, it will take up to 29 days. but if you don't mind paying all upfront then you should go ahead and do that

Addition to my earlier post I called a tmo rep to see if it was true that I had to have the box and reciept like the tmo rep said in the local store where I am on vacation currently and they indeed said that I needed them. To make a long story short and to keep with the topic I too was told that there is no back order and this was about 4pm eastern today so I'm hoping that my local store in hawaii will have one to return my current 8900 due to the loose end key. They should have gotten the secomd batch in by now! How can you tell what batch your phone came from anyway?

I haven't personally called them since I knew it wouldn't do any good having read this site. Since I didn't really deserve an upgrade and there is nothing wrong with my phone, I'm just going to wait it out. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long. I have already gotten a free months internet so I don't feel like arguing for anything more. As long I get the phone, I'm willing to wait.
