Default 8900 is it worth it?

Well lets just start with this, ive been a long time BB user and well im running into a new issue, i was on vacation and saw the new Tour 9630 so i went ahead and signed up with verizon to get it. However i come back home and ill be darned if i can use my phone at my house, the signal is terrible!! its constantly stuck on 1X (NEVER 1XEV) and only has 1 bar or no bar! So im also with a company called Cellular one for work (They are GSM) They seem to work fine, besides there ignorant customer care team they FAIL! So i thought well lets give T-Mobile a shot they have this new promotion 1000 mins $39.99 cant beat it! Now Heres my Pickle! They are constantly roaming (I checked my coverage map for them) and at work they are using GPRS!! Not even EDGE! So i kinda feel like paying for the BB DATA Pack is a SHAM! because at my house, friends house Work I have Wi-Fi, however this is where the real question comes into play! Can i still receive my PUSH emails when connected via Wi-Fi? and If so is it possible to receive them if i was using an unlocked Bold 9000? I just picked the 8900 because it seemed to have the most resale value incase i didnt like it, it was FREE so i cant complain there, I just Love my Tour! The only problem though is that the Tour 9630 Lacks Wifi and i dont know if i can manage to use GPRS and EDGE Data Speeds, that seems adequate for Emails but browsing the web not so much. So Heres my other question! Should i return the tour and get back my $269? Its already unlocked or should i just pop it on Ebay and get more like $550? I actually think ill like the bold better only because i really like the keyboard on the tour, Im just not sure really what to do, i did like my 8330 when i had it with verizon, im just not really sure how to handle this situation, it seems like Wi-Fi is a must considering Data Dilemma in my area! Any thoughts suggestions would be greatly apprciated! Thanks Phil! Feel free to contact me via BBM Thanks again!

Maybe u should try Tmobile? You can go to their website and check out their coverage map. They have it on their main page at Unsupported Browser. As for buying an 8900, its worth every penny! I got a great deal on mine from Ebay. I paid $368 plus $19 for shipping and it was from Tmobile (how convenient lol). You can find one under $550 for sure hun! Look everywhere and make sure u read the fine print! Also check on the sellers past selling history. If they have 99% positive feedback or better and you see any past blackberry sales (good ones that is), then it should be ok. GL finding an 8900! You won't regret getting it!

ok excellent so it sounds like tmobile wont be so bad after all, i can say that they seem to be much much cheaper than verizon which is a plus im just used to the 3g data speeds but it looks like wifi will be a better option anyways, i think im just going to resell the 8900 and ive already sold the tour, and just go ahead and get the bold. i really like the keyboard on the bold much better, thanks again.

You can get an 8900 from Amazon for $.01 and free two day shipping. Get your money back from those crooks at VZW is my advice

In that case I have a deal for you!

WTS: At&t Blackberry Bold (9000)

You're right, the Bold is much easier to type on than the 8900. I just happened to like the 8900 for other reasons.

. LMAO! Yea and I can get a 2009 mercedes for $5000 too. Don't believe him, u can't get ANY blackberry for 1 cent, unless u had a new contract with a new carrier that offered a buy one get one free deal, which is rare.

I don't think you can return your tour if its unlocked. Doesn't that void the phone?

Default 8900

I've used Blackberry's for many years and so far the 8900 is my favorite! I'm sure the Tour is great as well, perhaps that will be next.

That's up for debate! I actually quite prefer the 8900's keyboard to the Bold, along with some other physical differences.

Is it worth it? Oh I don't know...

Do fish swim in water?
Was Michael Jordan a great basketball player?
Is Paula Abdul really that bad of a singer?
Does Pauley Shore make bad movies?

You decide.
