Metro PCS BB 8330m Price Drop - Coming Soon?

I have it on good authority that Metro is planning to drop the price on their 8330m by a significant margin. This is likely due to the fact that Metro recently introduced the Samsung i220 Code WinMo Smartphone which duplicates many of the 8330's features for $100 less. Also, the introduction of the $300 no plan 8520 at T-Mo with 3g may be playing a part too. The individual I spoke with said the price drop will be between $50 - $100.

WINDMobile launching Dec 1, 2009?

Monday has been quite the day for WIND.

First, WINDMobile reaffirms (http://mobilesyrup.com/2009/11/16/wind-mobile-were-not-about-selling-out/)...

Monday has been quite the day for WIND.

First, WINDMobile reaffirms that they're not going to sell-out, which I'm inclined to believe since they have spent a year talking with Canadians. They wouldn't do all that just to get gobbled up by Rogers and have their ideas crushed into oblivion.

Then later on, TheMobileNinjas posted leaked info about a guaranteed launch date!!

Of course, without any source listed or any details really (so to "protect" WIND, TMN claims), it's very hard to believe. However, they're still training and hiring new employees and continuing with the completion of stores.

The only thing that gets me is Tony Clement's decision, this source apparently seems confident he'll overturn the CRTC decision. Highly debatable.

As some of you know, the extremely-biased CRTC will be announcing their decision of whether Globalive can operate in Canada, having delayed multiple times.

Hopefully the "WINDs of change" will be upon us, and I'm confident due to the fact that WIND has continued to hire hundreds of Canadians and build their flagship stores -- they wouldn't do so if there was a risk they'd lose out.

So if Canadians get this victory today, forum mods please make a carrier section for WINDMobile -- on the front page of the Carriers! ;)

There has been talk of a new o/s for metro bb plus a network upgrade to 4g,I've talked to a metro employe on two ocassions and he tells me the same thing. This will all come round decemeber ,and remains to be seen. My question is this. If metro does move uo to 4g will it improve overall wireless conections or will it only affect 4g enabled devices? For that matter is the current bb on metro 4g capable? Thank you for your time.
