My husband and I are both on T-mobile, both have Curves, but I'm the only one with this problem. I keep losing connection to BIS, but network connection is fine - I can make calls and SMS no problem. A battery pull usually solves the problem, at least for a little while, but it is getting annoying! Anyone else have something similar?

I've had lower case "edge" service in West Los Angeles on and off all day today. This isn't affecting my phone calls (have over 3 hours of calls today) but it is limiting some data access.

T-Mobile's coverage in West Los Angeles is usually superior and I'm not complaining about them. Just reporting an issue for today if any of you are in Los Angeles and having any connection trouble.

About 3 weeks ago I call TMO BB support to let them know about a signal problem. There is a shopping center near my house that my phone goes to SOS in open air. They told me that their coverage map says I should have excellent signal. I told them that I know what the map says but my phone disagrees. They said they would forward it to the engineers and if it was something simple that I would see a change in a week. Two weeks later no change so I call back and was told that they checked it out and there will be a new tower installed within 120 days.

So can I believe them?

Hello! Today I got confirmation from a TMO rep about 3G going live in December in Puerto Rico. For the last few days my 8320 has been showing constant swaps between EDGE/edge/GPRS/GSM signals, and sometimes the BB antenna would turn itself off for no reason. The rep told me that this is due to 3G testing.

So, has anyone in Puerto Rico with the 9700 (or any other 3G phone) seen the signal live these last few days????

Are any other former SunCom customers (now w/ tmo of course, but still having their old SunCom rate plan) getting the run around with Visual Voicemail?

I have called into Tmo 3 times. The first time, they told me that he had to put in a Help Desk ticket and it would be added in a week. Then I called today and the young lady told me her supervisor would add it to my account. Then I called back because it hadn't happened yet, and the new person on the phone stated that I had to switch to a new Tmo plan to get the feature.

Seems like a lot of conflicting info, and I wanted to see if anyone else out there has had the same issues and what you did to get it fixed, if it CAN be fixed.

I have the new 9700 and it should be free with that phone.

Thank you so much in advance.

Currently have tour with sprint on everything $99 thinking of switching to tmo for the bold and the $79 unlimited everything plan. I know I have to pay full price for the bold. I live in the chicago area and don't travel much. Coverage for sprint and tmo in my areas is about the same. So I ask is it worth it to switch for the 9700 for tmo and save $20 per month.

The sales rep mentioned that they would be opening at 7AM on Black Friday, and will have very good sales. She claimed that she was unaware of what exactly the sales would be on.

Anyone have any clue what will be on sale? Will TMobile.com have blackfriday sales as well?
Thanks!

I called blackberry support at TMO today about an issue I was having and unrelated he said he wanted to tell me that the 9700 is not handling UMA to cell handoffs right. If you're on a cell signal and then UMA is available the call might be dropped or visa versa. Just to give everyone a heads up. I havent really tried using UMA yet so I dont know. Has anyone had problems with Handoffs from EDGE/3G to UMA?

I have had an 8520 for a little over a month and didn't have any problems with it until 4 days ago. Suddenly, my reception at home is only 1-3 bars and I can't make outgoing calls. I have to try calling repeatedly, and before the call connects there's a fast busy signal with the "Call Failed" message. If and when I do finally connect the call, I can only stay connected for ~2 minutes before it drops the call and the "Call Failed" message pops up again.

Before this phone, I had an 8320 and never had this problem. Outside the house, the phone is fine as well. It's just INSIDE my house that I can't make outgoing calls anymore. Why is this suddenly happening? It has rendered my phone useless, as I don't make phone calls anywhere else.

I've called TMobile multiple times and have taken all their advice- battery pull, they've tweaked things on their end, etc. My coverage is supposed to be 4 bars in my area. I've made sure to turn wifi off during calls so it doesn't interfere, but it is still the same problem. Finally, I just had to use wifi only to make some important calls. This is getting ridiculous, though. What's the point of a phone if you can't use it in your own house?

Thoughts, suggestions?
