Or are you sticking by your exclusive BlackBerry's running OS 7.1? Or are you running the P'9981 and a BB10 device together? Would be great to hear from you. :)

I have a serious issue to resolve. My BB 9981 died!

My OS was not updated for long time, and one day the phone died. I looked into some forums and I thought that maybe the issue was from the OS and I have used CFP command to delete previous one and install new OS.
Now I have a blinking red light and a black screen and when I try to use Desktop manager or any other software (at least those mentioned in common forums) cant access the device or the connection fails due to loop reboot from phone.
Only CFP is able to establish and maintain connection but I have this weird feeling that Im not deleting everything or the OS I have installed is not the proper one.

Now I have lost faith, because I have no more forums to search for or even I have no more ideas to explore.
The worst part is, I have no idea where to find other OS to use with CFP, or new command lines to really take full control of the device.

For reference, I have used bb desktop manager, fast installer, hybrid tools, jl_cmder, BBmaster controller, BBSAK, /noJVM.
Even with /nojvm, it fails when waiting for initialization/jvm connection ... and I have tried in bbLoader or desktop manager.

Another examples:
- when using the BBmaster if I try to delete both letters, I have one ABORT FAIL error in the final description.
- when using BBSAK i have no connectivity at all. device is not recognized.

I really dont like to ask for help for silly things but I apologize, because the only "smart" idea that is present is to give up and put this phone into the garbage bag... :(

There is anyone who might have suggestions?

Nowadays I usually carry an extra battery with me at all times for my P'9981. After a long day I threw my clothes into the wash not knowing that my Porsche Design Battery was in my pant pocket.

After Rinse, Dry, and Folding it pops out as I'm hanging the pants. I'm sure it's dead. So what should I do to get a new one or even have it replace if at all possible?

It's just a battery I guess but the vanity in me says having a Porsche Battery is how it's supposed to be.

P.S. Sorry Kev....But at least the phone itself is still rockin' :)

I just bought my Porsche P9981 Black about 2 weeks ago and now i am already encountering an issue. Once every 2-3 days, my phone will suddenly encounter this error which will make most of the media files non accessible to view and my ringtone changes to this weird 3 beeping tone noise! And whenever i try taking pictures with camera, a msg "File system out of resources" will popped up. During this time, my whatsapp's media card is also disabled and the only way to fix this is to do a hard-reset on the phone which is quite annoying! This happened to the previous BBs i owned as well. Anyone know how i can fix this permanantly?

Note:
1) I have 16GB Memory SD Card (new) and all media are saved into the card.
2) Downloaded apps are (Fancy Smiley Pro, Screen Muncher, Battery Saver, Battery Watch, Application Resource Monitor)
3) Did a clean wipe with BBSAK and installed new OS (error still exist!)
