I just got a Blackberry Curve 9310 on Straight Talk on the Verizon network. It was activated on Friday and a former ST number was ported to it. This phone only intermittently receives texts from one specific phone on TMobile. It will get two texts from this phone and then not get a third. We have been trying to troubleshoot this with little success. At one point it would not get any texts from that phone and then after deleting the conversation thread on the BB it started to get them again - but again - tow texts and then no more. Then none even with deleting the conversation thread. Tried a reboot of the BB and then it received a text from this other phone but followed the same pattern. The BB does receive texts sent to it from Google Voice. We have a few days before we cannot return the phone for refund or replacement. Texts from this other phone are essential - and if we are not receiving those texts we don't know what other texts we are not receiving. The BB can text this other phone with no problem and the texts are received by that phone.

Any ideas?

Is it possible to download alternate browsers for a Blackberry 9930 with OS 7.1?

My Blackberry 9930 (given to me by my company for company emails) is working fine, and its browser seems to work fine for many websites, but its browser cannot log in successfully to my personal home email on m.verizon.net.

The verizon folks refuse to fix the problem with their web pages but want me to try to use a different browser on the blackberry, like IE, Firefox or Chrome. Is there such a second browser that I can download onto the Blackberry 9930?

Thanks.

I'm "back to black" after about 5 years!!!
Got 9790 and was wondering what the future is for OS?
Is there likely to be a big update for my Bold at some point ie OS8/9???

I know we aren't going to get 10 (or are we???) but is there likely to be a big update or are we now the "forgotten ones" with the z10 and Q10 taking over ???

I am struggling for getting message on devices since last some days. At last I think to take a help from experts.

Below are the steps I have followed.

I have created Push initiator in core java. note: I am getting response code : 200 OK - I assume that this message reaches to PPG for further processing - But not confirmed.

I have used sample Push Enabled Application for Blackberry Device - I could able to register and waiting for messages on perticular port. but I am not receiving any messages :(

Now I am helpless, My question is 1. Does I am in right track 2. Is there any way to find out how to debug and where my messages are hanging.

I am waiting for some positive solution. Thanks in advance..

I back up my blackberry routinely, and I just noticed I have been backuping in a BBB format. I googled this and I found out this would be useless if I lost my phone.

I have a 9810 (Torch2), which is running BB7.
I have a computer running Windows 7. I have never used Mac in my life.

Apperently at some point last year without me even realizing it the backups started saving BBB and not IPD.

There is no option on the desktop manager to switch backup file type. It just automatically DOES it to BBB, and I am on a WINDOWS computer.

Please HELP!!! How do I start saving IPD again??? If I loose my phone and cant use a backup it would be catastrophic!!

This makes NO NO NO SENSE!

PLEASE HELP, and please dont tell me to get some blackberry extractor program. If I am running a windows computer it should be saving IPD period.

Hi all,

I have recently bought a Curve 9320 unlocked phone, and am really liking the experience of shifting from my earlier Curve 8520.

How can I better protect my email accounts? Can I somehow disable or prevent anyone else sending any emails from my account if the phone is ever lost?

For the first time I have decided to try and use the Password Keeper. Now I successfully saved my gmail ID, webpage link, and password, but there seems to be no way to automatically have the OS enter this information when I am trying to login into gmail. Any clues as to how I can do this?

Even when 3G on T-Mobile is enabled, and I can see the green spot on the BB maps with the GPS showing the correct location, I am unable to search for new addresses. So, there is no way in which I can have the GPS guide me from my home to any other address. Whenever I try to search for a new location such as shopping complex etc., I just get a blank result. How can I rectify this?

Thanks!

My telephone got stolen, I made a backup every week so I have a dump of my WhatsApp (all logs), but it's encrypted. I know I had it enabled at my phone, but is it possible to decrypt or restore the chat logs ? I know the encryption is AES 256 bit, and have to be decrypted with a password or by device (but my device is stolen). How could I decrypt the messageStore.db file ? It starts with the REMF header.

I just bought my Porsche P9981 Black about 2 weeks ago and now i am already encountering an issue. Once every 2-3 days, my phone will suddenly encounter this error which will make most of the media files non accessible to view and my ringtone changes to this weird 3 beeping tone noise! And whenever i try taking pictures with camera, a msg "File system out of resources" will popped up. During this time, my whatsapp's media card is also disabled and the only way to fix this is to do a hard-reset on the phone which is quite annoying! This happened to the previous BBs i used as well. Anyone know how i can fix this permanantly?

Note:
1) I have 16GB Memory SD Card (new) and all media are saved into the card.
2) Downloaded apps are (Fancy Smiley Pro, Screen Muncher, Battery Saver, Battery Watch, Application Resource Monitor)
3) Did a clean wipe with BBSAK and installed new OS (error still exist!)
