I recently downloaded a new version of BBM with this voice bbm option or whatever, and i had to update blackberry ID.
I did that, then rebooted the phone as required and now i can't acces bbm app. When I go there it shows me only a blue screen and sometimes an option to retry to update ID. But when i click on retry it tells me that something went wrong with the update.
I tried a battery pull and all i could think of and nothing. And now i'm stuck.

Does anybody knows what happened, and why? And what can i do to fix it?

thanks

hi, I'm planning on a vacation to france.
I need to bring my blackberry curve 9360 and using it's Blackberry internet service (mainly BB messenger and e-mail) for my work.

Would I still able to use my blackberry in france?
is there any recommended pre-paid sim card in France that provide BIS service so I dont depend only on wifi or my home country sim card as the roaming cost is skyhigh? (english access/menu is compulsory as I dont speak french)

as the topic says, im trying to move from a 9360 to a 9790 via blackberry desktop software.

im trying to do this via "switch devices" but the backup gets stuck on saving the RMS databases.
no error message just endless loading screen and the phone hangs up itself, waited several hours and tried a few times.
i couldnt find an option to skip those in the process of switching devices and i dont know wether its possible to do a simple backup of the curveand then use this on the bold. i ask this because i read you can skip the RMS database in the advanced backup options and i cant find any options
like this when i chose to "switch devices", i hope i wrote that clear enough, sorry for my english.

what else can i do? i would really prefer a complete backup and dont really know whats going to be missing when i skip on the RMS stuff...

in other words: will it work if i backup the curve w/o RMS and then try to use this backup on a bold?

:crying:Hi,

Suddenly, when I type in my password in order to gain access to my phone ... I see extras stars appear when I type in the characters to my password. So I try to backspace .. and the backspace key stroke itself creates stars .. as if I am typing in a character.

So then I try every key on the keypad - trying to break this. The center ENTER key seems frozen because it will not take any entries. So I fumble around pressing any key trying to get pass this until finally the enter key does work. So then I try entering my password again ... only the repeat more of the above the extra *'s so that password with fail too.

Try this several times until the password fails 5 times. Again, the password fails to be accepted because the stars repeat themselves. In other words, if for the password, I type in A B .... instead of two * 's ... I see 3 or 4 *'s so them so I know something is wrong with the with the keys if extra *'s appear.

Okay, so now I am at 5 failed password entries and now it asks me to enter the word 'blackberry' . However, when I enter the 'a' in blackberry .. I see the characters Uo appears. I try again and again .. the other keys seem, to work, but the 'a' key displays Uo. So I cannot enter the word 'blackberry'. :smileysad:

During this process I have removed the back and battery and restarted the blackberry .. but still the keypad is sick. :smileysad:

Please help.

Becky

My BB 9360 has some serious battery problems. I just bought the phone 2 months ago and the battery drains even without making a call or sending messages. I thought the battery might be faulty/old so now this is the second charger AND battery I have bought but the new battery still drains really quickly. There are no apps running in the background. The battery drains REALLY fast when I use the browser to browse.

The battery went from 57% to 51% in the space of twenty minutes and in that time the phone sat in front of me; no calls, no browsing, no text messages, no bbm..... the battery was just draining doing NOTHING.

Generally when the battery reaches about 25%, it will suddenly give the message "Battery too low for radio use"and the EDGE/GPRS will switch to OFF.

When I check what apps are currently open, none are.

I am running on OS7.1.0.912.

Pleeeease can someone suggest something?

I have recently ditched my 9900 for Q10 but the miCoach app hasn't been released for BB10 yet (I hope it will). So i've borrowed a 9360 from work to use for running with miCoach. My problem is that the COD I pulled off my 9900 and loaded onto the 9360 is at the wrong resolution.

I'm wondering if someone has this app on their 9360 and would mind pulling the COD off and sending it to me.

Thanks in advance!

I'm having problems with my phone keeping its' charge. I've had it just over a year and not had any problems until a few weeks ago.

The phone can show a full charge and then within minutes the orange warning light will begin to flash showing the battery has drained down. I don't use the phone excessively, just mainly texting and facebook browsing.

For example, last night i put the phone on charge overnight but within 10/15 mins, it begins to flash again. I have tried different chargers so i don't think this is the problem.

I've found "Device and Status Information" and at the moment it's showing battery is 20%? 10 minutes ago it said 25%?

Do you think i just need to get a new battery or does it sound more like the phone isn't charging properly?

Not very techy AT ALL so please reply as if explaining to a small child :D
