New to the forums so sorry if the part about OS is in the wrong place.

Basically ive had the phone for around 3months all was fine i was loving the phone then over the past couple of days its gone really slow, ive cleared my event log made sure all my pics and music are on my media card and cleared my cache. Any other things i should do?

Also im considering using a Hybrid or Custom ROM any suggestions on one i should try? i used a Hybrid ROM on my curve 8900 and loved it.

Last time i try to fix my sister bb 9780 the first problem is she can't open bbm application and appworld, so i decided to apply a new os for it. First i try to connect it to my pc and make a back up it's going to be fine, after that i'm going to wipe it using bbsak the wipe complete but when i try to start new instalation os i got some error, so i restart the instalation but my pc didn't recognise it any more, i have try many way such as: switch another cable, another pc, another usb port, it didn't work cuase when i try another device it works fine. Can anyone help? I'm going away at the end of the week and want to be able to connect to the free hotel Wi-Fi so I can send messages and pictures using the WhatsApp application and not get charged for using anything. I'm not bothered about access to calls or texts or surfing the web but would like to use this application to stay in touch with friends and family. Is there a way I can cut off all my connections but just use the free Wi-Fi? I really need an idiots guide for my Blackberry 9780. I don't want to come back from Mexico to find I've got a bill of hundreds or even thousands from O2.

My BB bold 9780 out of the blue doesn't recognize the memory card. In settings/device/storage it says, "A media card is not presently inserted in the device". And if I try the video camera it says, "To record a video, insert a Media Card". I bought and formatted a new SD card but that didn't help. I checked my old card in the computer and it seems fine. I've pulled the battery and restarted several times but still nothing. I then gave my phone to a guy who works at BB and he put in a new card reader and whatever else (phone came back looking brand new) but it didn't solve that problem. Altho one time after that out of the blue a message popped up saying, "a media card is now inserted into the device...." but before I could even finish reading it, a new message popped up saying, "media card removed" or something like that. Any idea how to get the phone to recognize the memory card again? I have a BlackBerry 9780 with BIS running OS6. My company e-mail, calendars, drive, all is on Google. My Google account is associated with a number of calendars (under the same e-mail address). Anyway, there is my personal calendar where all my appointments, etc. go, and there are a number of other calendars (calendars of various activities, departments, etc.). My phone has no problem syncing my personal calendar, but how can I add all those other calendars? I can't seem to be able to figure it out...Is it something that I have to set on the phone, or in my google calendars?

I have the bold 9780, and it's usually fully charged in the morning when i set off for school(8:00) however, the most it will last is until lunchtime (13:05) and that's with the signal turned off and the phone locked. also if i turn the phone off or remove the battery, the battery life drains just as quick. sometimes it runs out by 11 oclock. this started around the same time as my charging port began to break, i had to put the charger in at an awkward angle for it to work, and eventually it just came clean out and now i have to charge my battery manually in an external charger, outside of the phone.

if anyone could help me out, by telling me the problem and if i need a new battery or if it's a phone fault, that'd be great :)

I wiped the device's data using BBSAK and attempted to install two different firmware versions (.723 and .285) using AppLoader but it just won't, for some odd reason. It takes me to the "Choose which applications to install" window and only one shows up which is Google Sync, and then when I press Next it just says Finish and that's it, nothing happens.

Does anyone know what I can do about this? As I said I tried two different firmware versions, rebooting the computer, reinstalling and such but nothing worked.
