Anyone know why this could be happening ?

I have a problem with the twitter app. When you open the app or reopen if after not using it for a while it automatically refreshes the tweets. However, it's only for tweets within the last 2-3 hours and not the ones beyond that time period. I have to manually refresh to get those older tweets. Is this how the app is supposed to work or is it a design flaw??

I'm actually tired of guessing if a number is important or not, and I think this could help. Comments are very poor though, and it doesn't seem to want to install for some reason...

Is anyone familiar with it? Does it work well? Does it bog down the phone?
