As almost a year of owning my Storm is approaching, im ready for a new device. But I simply can't choose. I was looking into the 8530 because i mostly want WiFi; since its a low-end device I was questioning it. The HTC Touch Pro 2 also was one of my choices. Advice anyone? The touchscreen is cracked and on the edge there's a bigger crack and on the right side there's a big damaged stripe on the actual viewscreen almost across the phone from top to bottom. It's still usable but the screen is just 20% rubbish. So they asked me the general questions about upgrading and all (of which i haven't been able to do) and apparently the new update puts WiFi in your storm. I know i can just hide the keyboard, but I hate having to do this all the time. Does anyone know a solution to prevent the keyboard from popping up every-time i try to read a text?

I know it is silly, but all of the upgrades made to the Storm2, I never really had an issue with my storm1. Cash in hand! Even went to store with her and asked clerk to check bill to make sure they were real. I know it has a clear ESN. But this lady acted really shady and never asked about checking it. I called Verizon after deal was done and told them. They still had the ESN since it was the last phone on this number. I told them that phone is not to be linked to me again! And not to ever be hooked back up on my account. CS told me there is no way she can do anything without my account password and such. I know my number still showed up on it even after the wipe. Is there a way to remove that? For future refrence. Like I said whole thing felt shady so I just did everything I could to cover my tail.

I loaded the most recent software into my Storm a few weeks ago and this is the first time I've seen this icon. I looked in my book that came with my phone and the icon is not listed.
