I recently unlocked my BB storm 9530 with an old sim card (which has a 416 number). Everything went fine, phone is unlocked. But now that I try to use it with another sim (a 647 number), the phone doesnt seem to recognize it. When I pick "SIM card" from options, I see its 647 number. But when I check "my phone number", according to the phone, it shows up as the 416 number. As well, while the 647-sim is in the phone, when I call the 647 number from another cell, I get directed to voicemail, but if I call the 416 number, the call goes through and the phone rings (but it shouldn't? it doesn't have the 416-sim in it??)
Some bkg story: the 416-sim was the one I bought the phone with a few years back, from Bell. The 647-sim is also from Bell, but was bought & activated with an HTC last winter. The 647-sim has worked perfectly with other phones and between the HTC phones (it was a family plan), but just doesn't seem to be recognized by the BB.
