I just find the home screen kind of cluttered... I've found lots of very neat themes here, but I have NO idea how to upload them onto my phone. I don't currently have webservice on my phone so I can't access the forums via the phone itself, but I have read that you should be able to load it via the desktop manager? I tried that, but it says it is incompatible? Do I have to alter files somewhere?

I need step by step instructions. Like I said, I'm a total noob.

this is the final copy, some changes after beta testers

unfortunately, i did away with the "hidden today" and the "weatherbug"

with all the animation going on in the homescreen it became to slow.
i will continue to work on this theme after it is released to see if i can update it with the hidden today feature and weatherbug....

Theme features:
-2 OCD spots for weatherbug, meterberry, etc.
- A NON hidden today area with 3 calendar entries and 1 message entry for your most recent message.
-Bar across bottom for SMS/MMS.
-Hidden hotspots for QuickLaunch and FaceCall between OCD slots. (FC and QL NOT INCLUDED!)
-Hidden hotspot for options: click the battery icon.
-LANDSCAPE today with 4 calendar entries and 4 user defined applications.

Input and suggestions are neccessary after viewing this thread, that means YOU.


1. Obviously Signal battery meter to the right on top, to the left where the sun is can put any app you want (most people will choose a weather app, so thats why the sun is there)

2. Below is the date, right above the date will go the new message indicators

3. The bottom green bar I dunno what I am gonna do yet, but I am thinking about having a button on the left or right side of it that you tap, and the icon/button panel slides out from behind it up to the current position you see..

4. It has 4 icon squares there for 4 user definable icons (icon set hasnt been chosen yet so they are blank) and to the right of that are static buttons to the very important phone features.

5. I might change the APPLICATION MENU to another application and make it so you can click the blank space under the clock to go to app menu instead...suggestions on what to change the button to if I do that?

6. Also can click time to go to clock app...

Just a quick request... I would imagine it would be very simple but I know nothing about theme development.

Basically, I love the standard Precision Zen theme, but I also like how the new Theme Builder 5.0 can allow for a landscape homescreen.

Therefore, is there anyone who can take the basic build of the stock Zen theme and add the landscape homescreen feature? The only thing that would change is that one function. Maybe the possibility to set a separate wallpaper in that view?

Let me know if this is possible!
