I have only been with AT&T for 3 months of a 2 year contract. I got the Pearl 8110 and I love it, except for the 64mb memory, bottom line I need more. So my question is this, what is the best way to upgrade my phone? I don't care about the fact that i'll have to pay extra for the phone. But should I upgrade through AT&T site, or buy a phone on my own?

The AT&T site said something about buying a sim card, can I not use the sim card from my current phone?
Can anyone set me straight on upgrading my phone?

Does anyone have step-by-step instruction on how to properly use the device switch wizard (I am going from a 8310 to a 9700)? For example, do I leave the SIM in the 8310 when I start or put it in the 9700? I did a search, but did not find a detailed list of instructions.

Also, once I do the device switch, do I still need to go onto BIS to change the PIN and IMEI so my e-mail accounts switch over from the 8310 to the 9700?

Thanks.

I am pretty frustrated right now. Yesterday I ported over to T-Mobile after
2 1/2 years with AT&T. It's just going to be better pricing wise for me on TMO.

Well I called AT&T so they can release my PIN from BIS for my Bold 9000\
I went through three different departments and nobody knows what to do or
what I'm talking about. They referred me over to RIM CS but I am not about
to pay $50 for a talk with them. I've never been in contact with a bigger
group of space cadets then I just was earlier.

Can someone please point me into the direction of what department I should
be talking to? Or ask to be directed to since they don't seem to know even
themselves? This is really frustrating.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks guys.

When is this supposed to take effect? I am ready for an upgrade but I have no idea what is going on! Verizon doesnt want to give me a phone, and I find no reason to get another Alltel phone with the recent news. Any idea? Anyone?

Hello, on att's site, it shows that I'm eligible to upgrade to an iphone 3gs, but I have to extend my contract? So does this mean I have to be with att for another 2 years? I'm currently using an 8900 and I believe I will continue to be with att forever. So in this case, does extending my contract in order to get that iphone for $200 means just means att wants me to stay with them longer? When my contract ends, I plan on renewing it anyways so should this even be a problem or does this mean I should upgrade already!! I would appreciate the help.

Thanks

I am wondering what the best course of action would be to get this resolved ASAP.

I placed an order for a new line & phone on our Premier site last Monday, and they just can't seem to figure out what is going on with it. The status of the order is currently "Attention" and thats the second time it has been at that. I have called in 4 times starting on Wednesday, given them any information they needed, and they just keep telling me that someone / some group is working on it.

It's ridiculous that it will be a week on Monday and they haven't even managed to get the order processed yet.

Well its simple, just bought a house and well reception sucks inside the house, outside great, inside not so much. Well friends have come over and they all have different carriers and all get service except the ones with ATT.

I tried calling ATT to get out of contract early (only about 4 months left) and they said no because they show I am in great reception area. The rep pretty much told me I should have checked my reception inside the house before I bought it. LOL. Any ideas? I have two lines and dont feel like paying 350 to get out of the contract when I only have four months left.

ok so i purchased an 8900 at my local at&t store, then went to radio shack and purchased a gophone. I activated the go phone thinking that I would be able to pop its sim card into the bb and b ready to go (w/out data of course). unfortunately no luck with that. i kept getting an sos where my bars should be. so i did some googling and thought that maybe my phone needed to be unlocked so i purchased an unlock code and unlocked the phone. now the phone jumps from between having bars and the sos mode when the gophone sim is in the phone but no calls go thru and any calls out fail. but the phone works fine with the at&t postpaid sim. is this possible to have a go phone sim in this bb do or has at&t put some type of block on their prepaid sim cards? please help! any insight would be appreciated. thank you
