Just wondering if there was an app out or one that could be developed to do the following:

-Use the camera as a barcode reader
-Be able to scan barcodes on receipts
-Add receipt information into an organized file on your blackberry
-Export the receipts into Excel

I think this would be great for keeping track of finances. I would like to be able to scan my gas receipts, food receipts, etc. and lose all the paper and just have all the info on my blackberry like the items, price, venue, etc.

Anything like this out there?

I also know Android has that KeyChain app where you can load up the barcodes of all those extra cards people have on their key rings so that you can display your "rewards card" barcode on your mobile and have stores scan right from there. Is this available for BlackBerry yet?

DMG has caught a little heat lately from some people who had purchased Storm Slider through AppWorld and have not been able to update to the newest version. I was unfortunately one of those that made the mistake of using AppWorld. Today he gave me a code to get a free copy through the App Store here and now I have the newest version...which is pretty sweet by the way! Also purchased SimpleWeather this morning which is a great little weather app with no memory leaks like other weather apps, and integrates nicely with storm slider! DMG did not HAVE to do this for me and the others who used AppWorld but he was nice enough to. Great developer and great customer service, keep up the good work!

P.S. everyone uninstall AppWorld lol:D

Seems like when you set up an email account on S2 however it also establishes a calendar, so now I have 4 different calendars.

Is there a way to get rid of the calendars I don't want. I have the default calendar set, but it appear that alot of my appts. are showing up under the other calendars as well.

Thanks

This isnt a Droid bashing thing. I loved the Droid. Fast and fun. But my Storm (First Gen) is fast enough and reliable. I know how to make it do what i need it to do and I get my emails fast (I use yahoo and have for a long time). My big complaint with my Droid was the battery life. I went to Verizon to look at cases and I had told that that I only get about 8 hours of lite use and they were impressed. They said that they are only getting about 6. Now Im sure that they are using the heck outta their phones but I need a little more than that. The Droid was a great phone and a lot of fun but its just not the phone for me. I'm sure I could have gotten use to it. Its actually sitting beside me now waiting to go back to Verizon tomorrow and I kinda get that felling that I should keep it but as soon I reactivate it Im not liking the experience and wanting to grab my Storm.

Well, anyway, its a great phone and Im sure there are a lot of people that have sit their Blackberry down and havent thought twice about them but I'm just not one of those guys.
