I got trapped in a restaurant toilet last week. The lock wouldn't move. I banged on the door and shouted but no-one heard. I have 2 phones, a BB 9320 (my main phone) and a new Samsung. My SIM was in the Samsung this time. I tried to search for the restaurant phone number but I had no signal, not even for calls, which has happened before. I put my SIM in the BB and it worked. I think the reason old phones have better antennas is because coverage was worse back then and they had to design for it. If it hadn't, my choices would have been to try to break the door down, hope someone checked the toilet or starve to death.
