What has been your absolute worst and best messenger experience

Hi Everyone. I know that we all have had some good experiences and bad experiences on bb messenger. My worst would be people who delete me when they see that I am African-American. You waste all day chatting with them, then when they see your race, they go busy or delete you all together. That is why I end all of my posts with if you are racist or looking for pics, don't bother. Sad but true situations. My best would be that I met someone who became my best friend. We became close and I thought we would meet, but it turns out that wasn't what he wanted. I finally had to see it for what it was. It hurts but a new year is coming....so therefore new friends. Hey Jenny. Hope all is well at your end and you're ready for the holidays. I remember talking to you a few times, and I can't say anything bad about the chats. I really have not had any 'bad experiences' with this messenger. I'm always nice to whoever I chat with and if we stop talking for whatever reason, its cool.

Wow that is really bad- sorry Jenny! I think that tops all those perv's out there. My favorite's are the ones who lie about their age.... *cough cough* I'm 30, no 38, no 40. Or how about the ones who lay their freaky fetish out there?! Seriously- wish the perv's would stay off the bbm and stick with those cheesy married and looking chat rooms online.

Sorry to hear about that Jenny. You have to figure that ppl like that weren't worth your time. My best is becoming friends with a few ppl over the past year who I speak to daily. The worst would have to be a wee cb stalker that needed to be blocked.

It honestly sound to me like you got a reality check,times have changed but all people haven't caught up to it yet.

That is wrong Jenny and I am sorry to hear that. I've got a few messages from younger ladies that fled when they discovered I was an olde fart but that is ok and I undrstand. But I did recently put a note in my sig about being a grandparent which helps the cause. My problem is I keep forgetting to enable my status when I am available which reminds me------------

I've only had a couple of people just up and delete me for no apparent reason and without explanation. One of whom I even talked with on the phone a bit. It definitely sucks when people don't even have the decency to explain why they're doing so.

Definitely sorry to hear the individual wasted your time like that, but you're better off without people like that.

Personally my bbm experience has been mostly positive and have "met" some really good people. I talk to anybody, particularly if there's something in common, hobby, etc.

Hi Everyone. You all gave really good responses. To Poe1983 - I am pretty sure I am being deleted because of my race. If you spend hours talking with someone after they pin you and you get along really well and have things in common, what else could it be? Now it could be that the person didn't find me attractive, which is fine. But what does it matter what I look like if we are just doing friendly chatting. I could find them unattractive as well, but I just don't delete them because I don't like their look.

Also, if someone claims that they want to put a face to the name, it is just a ruse. If you are chatting with someone, it shouldn't matter what they look like because alongside the pin, it doesn't say ask me for a pic if you want to date me. Some people need to get a life.

Sorry about your bad experience, Jenny.

I'm new to BB and BB messenger. I've posted my PIN in a few of these social networking threads and have gotten a few requests. I added some guy the other day and the first thing he did was send me a pic of his p e n i s. Utterly gross so I deleted him. That's been my worst experience thus far.

It's not always just a ruse. I always ask people for a pic, male or female, for that very reason -- I do like to have an idea of who Im talking to. It helpes make the conversation have an aire of "reality" for me. I won't delete somebody based on what they look like (and I've got some ugly BBM friends, lol

) but I do like knowing who Im talking to.

I am very sorry about some of your experiences, though -- some people are still extremely ignorant.

I think the reality is that a lot of people are looking for more than just friendly chatting, and that is where the pic and deletion comes in. Even IF they say they are not looking for anything more.

I've had people add me, saying its a pure friendship and then start sending me pics without me even saying anything.

I had some guy ask me if I like chocolate and not to forget about daddy. (yes, I deleted him (lol)...not because of his race, just cause that wasn't I was trying be on)

i have had people that didn't want to chat with me because of my age ( 58 ) and i don't see what that matters if its clean.what do most of us here talk about our Berry's.there will all ways be some stupid person out there but you don't have to talk to them but one time if they get out of line. i think that 99% of the people on crackberry or good honest people. so far i haven't had any trouble with anyone.
