How many girls have BB's?

I'm just wondering how many people on here are female? As most posts seem to be male?

Not that there is anything wrong with being male I'm sure, but well, we're better

I'm female and the men do out number the women in this forum but all the guys have been extremely helpful to me and I've learned quite a bit from all of them.

The guys (members & moderators) here are like a warm hug to me. They have made me feel so welcomed in the 2 months that I have been a member and they have answered the questions I have asked in a way that I could comprehend it. They have no airs about them and they are all down to earth........well at least the ones that I had the privilege of interacting with.

You are right, technology is typically a male dominated field...for now at least! ...but they are helpful

Definitely agree, the Blackberry world is a male dominated field (changing slowly with progress

). Most of the women I know who have BBs use it as a business tool or for social schedules but they aren't interested in BB forums for the most part. They don't view it as a hobby or addiction

I'm the female MOD of the group and "Dear Berry". In the early days of CB, there were very few women on the site. There are more as time goes on - which is great to see!

I've no doubt that the men on here are lovely (seeing as I am married to one of them

) but I only asked how many women there were not how wonderful the men were!

Thought it would be nice to have a female group as well!!

Hi folks, I don't know about the number of "girls" who own blackberries, but this old lady recently bought herself a blackberry pearl.

Tech support was --er, interesting, btw, but I'm finally at the point where I don't think I should be making a blackberry pie out of the dang thing!

I'm a geek girl! I co-own and operate a computer service business with my husband, so I like all things techie. Blackberries included.

I use it for our business of course, but mostly for personal use. It's my favorite toy.

Sorry girls, I'm a guy but here is my $0.02. I think there are a lot of girls that use BB's but many of them don't come to join BlackBerry forums. They just think of it as a regular phone not an addiction.

Count me in the girl group!
I had mine first, then got one for my husband. I love my BB, whereas my husband just thinks it's one more thing to have to figure out. He doesn't really like change. If it was up to him, he would still be using the original Nokia cell from 10 years ago.
In our household and in our business, I am the one who sets up the computers and most things electronic. It's not that I really know what I am doing, but I like gizmos and like to learn how to use them.

Me too MiniBB! My friends, parents and my household all make me set up their computers, phones, digital machines, fax machines, scanners etc... Well truth be told I love gadgets as well and love tinkering with everything and learning what makes that gizmo tick inside and out.

FairyGirl1, glad you started this thread! It must be nice being married to one of the guys here. I bet you he helps you with all your questions on the BlackBerry.

Shabbybrat, your not an "old lady". You are as young as you feel. Age is just a number. Glad to have you here in the forum! I'm 25 but sometimes with the stress I feel much older, besides age is irrelevant.

FairyGirl1, so far including me there are 8 girls but I remember seeing at least 5 more in the forum. They don't post as often as the guys do so you don't notice them as much. There might be more that are members but they just view and don't post.

If memory serves me correctly, I remember seeing quite a few more female names in the thread that were posting their pin numbers.

I think under our name besides our device, carrier and pin it would be nice if it would say male or female, maybe just an M or an F. Some names could be either male or female. Well it's just a thought.
