I use PC study bible for study at home. Oh I guess you could say for spiritual things I use my BB to organize grouping up and doing stuff with my fellow christian friends.
    Funny how similar we are

I still have been using my T5 for the same exact reason. I have three different Bible programs (one with devotions integrated), so it has been hard to switch completely over to BB for such.

Your answer is exactly what I am looking for. Thanks.

    Default Church Shakeups

I realize they can be tough and traumatic to people. Sirfox is right that it is your relationship with God that is important; however, God gave us the capacity to love and when a body of Christ experiences pain and turmoil, it is natural to feel something.

God will direct you to the church He wants you to attend and when ready, will send you to another. Keep in mind though that church attendance is important. As believers we are to worship together and nurture each other in Christ. You really didn't expect a pastor to not say you need to attend services did you

what is the application? I used to have it on my palm pilot and loved it. I now, just use BibleGateway.com: A searchable online Bible in over 100 versions and 50 languages. but would rather have an app.
Olive Tree has a great offering (with some free versions). IIRC, they have a Mamory Card Beta going right now.

Laridian/Beiks run Noah Bible Viewer. I am about to start work on a full review of it for fellow BB users.

    1. I use Noahs Bible Software and having a quick search tool handy is invaluable. I have actually pulled it up in a Bible study, ours and another I attend and was able to get a reference. Being able to select a larger font when needed is an added bonus.

    2. The most important. My congregation and anyone needing me can easily reach me. When Gustav hit, we had no electricity, landline or cellular voice. Text messages did work. Our church and congregation is in an area hit by the hurricane.

    3. I use the BB to have immediate notification of emails related to the church and my congregation.

If you want to know more about how my BB has helped me in my ministry, just PIN me.
Inspirational... thanks for sharing. I'll be hitting you up for some more...

Wow it is truly unbelievable how many believers on on this board. I am pretty new in my faith (1 year now) and also new as a BB user. I have been searching for christian themes but can't seem to find any that speak to me. Glad everyone has found this place to speak and confess the word of the Lord and be able to connect with other believers. Praise God!

I haven't really found any themes either. I ran into the same problem when I used a Tilt and found that once I started using a theme creator it was easy.

I downloaded Plazmic and hope to find a little time to create some for the BB.

    Great Thead
Christian all my life and Followed Son of a Baptist Preacher it was all about rules and I followed the Rules that I was Given in Sunday school, as a I grew up I fell away like many other PK's (preachers Kids) do. but it was not unitil a few years ago while sitting in Church that Christ had begun to speak to me and tell me it time to wake up and that he has better plans for my life.
since then I have Applied my self more deeply to his word, prayer and seeking what he wants from me.
I ve gone through a few indepth Bible studys at my church that Really help to evaluate where you are in christ 1 that I would recomend to any Christian is the Biblical Self Confrontation Series. it goes through all aspects of you life and shows you where Biblicaly where you are or are not.

    God Bless

mmmmk, thank you everyone for your respective references to your favorite study programs, I have been using Quick Verse for years as it has Hebrew, Greek, concordances, commentaries plus 16 versions of Old/NT. It is robust.
So, on a dif note, who is seeing the complexion of the body..changing? I am seeing across the USA, the emerging of Home Church.... got comments?

    I'm at a 'home' church
And I couldn't be happier. Coming from a 5,000+ congregation there are positives and negatives.
We are currently looking for a building so we can allow the general public to come in.

Does anyone ever watch Welcome to GOD.TV ?

There seems to be some decent heart felt worship music and people who want to walk, talk and serve the Creator of the universe from a pure heart.

I think I would also add community Church. When you get out into the country, you have small groups that are too big for home worship erecting or obtaining buildings that take in more of the community.

I agree, while the huge mega churches and even the "larger than 1000" are nice and inspirational, large isn't for everyone.

I saw this when I first got my BB and I started searching for Bible software.

I'm sticking with Olive Tree, FOR NOW. If Rick Meyers gets around to updating the Pocket- E Sword for the BB, I'm switching over to his FREE product which has everything I like: commentaries, dictionaries, devotionals, bible study stuff...

Brother Carmie, the insight you have been given of the Living God is fearful. You have overcome.

You have toiled hard to be true, mostly alone, and now a wonderful peace surrounds you.

The scripture must be fulfiled: whoever has more shall be given. More shall be added unto you brother.

Your words were like cool water to me.

Thing is, don't expect the BlackBerry port (if it does come into existence) to have all the extras. It always seems to happen like that with BlackBerry software.

I'm actually learning about this in my Apologetics class. No, it is not wrong of you to question your faith. However, it is imperative that you build your foundation on TRUTH. Go back to when you first got saved and ask God to reveal to you again and bring to your remembrance, what made Him real to you THEN...Start digging into the Word, start reading apologetic books and just let the Holy Spirit lead you into ALL TRUTH.

When I have more time I will PM you with the name of some of the books we are using for class.

OK Sirfox, after your posting I asked to see God's power in a new way. Friday night, he did! He sent 3 people over to my house to lay hands on me and intercede. One of them was wakening in the middle of the night and was told, "I needed them to come over and pray." I did not reveal any of these posting to them, nor did they have any idea. So, I am rejoicing that we prayed and discussed the passage about Jacob wrestling. Plus numerous "things" that God has spoken to me recently were confirmed by these 3 witnesses. I did not tell them but again, they spoke out first and it was verbatim His words to me privately. Yeah..GLORY GLORY, GLORY!

    Rider,
Backing up for a bit, instead of asking "....is it is wrong to question, maybe ask why am I questioning, what I know to be true" When that is answered then, one can more astutely respond to the right and wrong. Sometimes we question out of whispering lies from the enemy or Job's friends, other times it is because the Spirit is leading us into the wilderness to deepen our walk, relationship and our faith. So, the root to the questioning needs definition. IMHO

In Luke 7 John the Baptist While imprison awaiting his Execution himself sent 2 of his Disciples to ask Jesus if he is the Coming one or do we look for another.

John the baptist was Eulogized by Jesus in Verse 28 "for I say to you, Among those Born of Women there is not a Greater Prophet than John the Baptist"
This coming from the Man (John The Baptist) in John1:27 said "It is he who coming After me, is preferred before me who's sandal straps I am not worthy to loose.

We all will have Doubt in our faith even the greatest prophet who proclaimed the Comming of Christ did shortly before he died.
Christianity is not a Religion, its a relationship

I have nothing further to say. You (^^^) proved my point. ALL OF US have doubted or questioned things about our faith. I still question God about who created him lol

And for anyone who says they have never questioned one iota of Christianity, I would have to say they are lying to themselves and to us. When those trials and tribulations come and God doesn't intervene, it makes us question whether he really is there, are we believing in something just because we were taught to believe in it.

And John the Baptist was not the only one who questioned. Some of the Apostles are EXCELLENT EXAMPLES of questioning who and what Jesus was; etc etc. And they were 'called' by him. So if he foreknew them and created them KNOWING they doubted and questioned, what does that say for us who have not had the chance to touch, handle, eat with or walk with our Lord personally?
