I am not a girl so I won't ask to be added to this group (though I support its existence!), but I do have a question which may end up requiring its own thread, here it goes...

I am really uncertain how to ask this. Pff, allright: I know many females of many different walks of life and ages. Some are pre-university students, some are undergraduates, some are established with a career with no relationship yet nor house nor kids, and some are in a couple with mouse and mortgage, etc. Every single one of them, whether they used to have a BlackBerry or not, when the time came (or is coming up, for some) to get a new phone, they are almost all opting for Apple phones (and the rest Google phones).

When it comes up in conversation, I point out the downfalls of the Apple phones (can't change the battery, can't BlueTooth transfer or other hardware innate capabilities without rooting / jailbreaking, no multi-tasking aka no downloading while doing something else, accessories not compatible between generations, no out of the box new e-mail notification, etc), and highlight the amazing awesomeness of BlackBerry, but the underlying response is always "All my friends have Iphones, that's why I got one / can't wait to get one".

So I have to admit, it's been hard to believe there are females with BlackBerrys out there who are happy with them and plan to continue on BlackBerry 10 from their legacy BlackBerries, or switch to BB10 from one of the knock-off brands.

And so the question is - why are you a BlackBerry girl?! Do you even exist? (ok that may not be a real question, but the first one is). What is it about BlackBerry that makes you, as a female, want it and like it, when other females (sadly, the ones I know) want their Apple phones because all their friends have Apple phones?

Side note: I realise Amanda Lang is all BlackBerry and that's awesome and even I didn't already think she was The Awesome then that would just bump her up there some more, but I don't KNOW her. I only know people who are not famous and not powerful!!

Anyway, this was an extra paragraph, the question I would like answered is above.
