BB OEM Slip Case In-Box With New 8310
Just an observation: After all the whining and moaning from the BlackBerry crowd (and me, as well...) over BlackBerry & ATT's decision not to include a case/pouch in the box with the 8300 Curve (like they did with the 8800)...I am very impressed with their choice to include the OEM BlackBerry leather pocket slip case in the box with the new 8310.
I have had the 8310 for a couple of weeks now...and today (Thanksgiving) is the first day I unwrapped the case and tried it out. It's great!! With the quality leather construction...and the same "groove" for the trackball that is present in their belt-clip pouches...it's extremely functional, and much more appropriate to carry in a jeans or khakis pocket than the belt-clip case IMO.
Kudos to BlackBerry & ATT for a suprisingly good product!!

The 8130 ships with a similar case...very nice leather pouch with the trackball groove inside (although I didn't even realize that was what it was for). I can understand not putting a clip on it, as I keep mine in a shirt pocket most of the time...but a slot in it for a removable clip would really rock; I guess I am complaining again!

Yes a case was included with my 8130 from Bell Canada, but I don't think it is leather. It's leather-esque!
Also the groove for the trackball in the case is a good design. The trackball seems very sensitive, I am wondering how durable it is?
Over time has anyone had any problems with dirt/dust in the tracker ball?

When did AT & T start to include the leather case with 8310?
When I got mine one 11/05, It did not have the case in the box?

That's odd...I have seen the innards of three 8310 boxes at the store I bought mine from, and all three had cases included.
