50 + (gulp) BB Users
Like others before me have said... "Seems to be threads for the younger folks, so how about one for us (more) mature folks!
55 yr old, new to BB but seasoned in technology (that "like a fine wine..." line keeps running through my mind)

Hello everyone!
I am part of the club too - 50 and my first BB ... But since I am a techno geekette, this isn't such a reach. I'm the only one at the publishing company that has one, and when the power goes down, there are more than a few that are jealous I am still am to get emails.
Besides, 50 is the new 40 - right? - 04-02-2008, 06:24 AM

I haven't quite decided if my kids (13 & 14) keep me young or make me older... sometimes both at the same time. I have learned tho... DO NOT place your BB in the hands of a teenage boy. Recovery can be a tedious process.

Well, I know when I turn 50 in October, I want a big party with a giant cake, lots of tacky balloons and expensive gifts!

54 here. I'm a recent convert to BB, after using a Sidekick for almost five years.

The Elite 50's Club... yeah!
What? Who said 50? I'm 29 and holding... and have been for 21 years. It's nice... But I have to say that when I picked up my 8320 Curve last month I felt even more years peel right off! This BB and especially this awesome Crackberry site really keeps life interesting!
I came from the world of Palms, Treos and the Dash. I had no idea what the BB could do to make life that much sweeter!

Isn't it interesting to look back at the progression of handheld devices we've tinkered with over the years. I've had a small fleet of Palm thingies, each one promising to be the cat's meow, and then moved over to iPaqs, but was always wishing it would have a slick cellular integration and still do all the basic contacts, email, fun stuff. Each new cell phone packed in more goodies too, but they never quite hit the mark. I don't profess that the BB is the end run either, but I'm excited to see how it evolves. Now if the mind meld could produce a floating laser keyboard at will...
