[Guide] How to link to BBM Channels in CB forums
BBM Channels has been released for legacy and BB10 users.
As we see more and more members willing to place a link to their Channel or interesting ones, let's see how they can offer a hyperlink to allow a "tap and browse" experience for BlackBerry users (with Channels installed).
Note : To create a link to a Channel, you obviously need its ID. You can get it while in the channel via context menu (3 dots) / "view Channel profile" then tap on the bottom icon "Show Barcode".
The methods below are intended for both signature and contents, but they differ if you want to do it within your browser or CB10 app.
A. Within the browser
- Type the label of your link and select it
- Click on the hyperlink icon
- The link box will pop. What you have to do then is to replace the "http://" protocol string with "bbmc:" (omit the quotes). Depending on the (version of the) navigator/OS you use or your settings, the popup may vary in two ways.

B. In CB10 app
In CB10, you don't have access to formatting boxes (as of date).
So you have to type the full instruction in order to have a working link.
Note : Remember that if you want to display signature when posting via CB10, you have to set it: swipe down then tap Settings gear and fill in "Signature in Forums" field.
The instruction syntax is (sorry, I had to make an image to avoid formatting in CB10 app) :
