This is handy since it is currently impossible to run the simulator under Linux:

So, you can connect to a simulator running on the virtual host. =)

I'm a Mac guy, but Windows is a requirement anymore. Actually I'm a BlackBerry guy anymore. LOL

Is this an emulator or an actual program for the phone? BB XP? I've never had a chance to mess around with Vista, but I've heard it's plagued with flaws...is that true?

My condolences. Actually, OSX is a *nix-like OS.

It is VirtualBox running on Ubuntu Hardy Heron, running Windows XP.

In other words, I'm running Windows XP as a virtual machine under Linux. I have to do this so I can run both at the same time, and connect my BB program running on Linux to the simulator running on Windows.

I wouldn't know, I don't have it, and have never and will never use it. But you could look here: The Mojave Experiment

Here's a shot of xubuntu and XP running as virtual machines on ubuntu!

Virtualization is really really handy for developers.
