Default ePUB Book Into An App for Playbook?

As a SF and Fiction writer, I am always seeking ways to generate readership and followers along with marketing my books / short stories.

Does anyone have some suggestions (helpful ones of course) on creating an application for Playbook whereby I can sell an ePub novel as a stand alone?

For example, if I have an ePub formated novel, I can (and do) sell it online for readers to enjoy using any of the current e-readers. Now I would like to add it to the BB App World as a stand alone. Buy the book for $0.99 (for example) and just by opening the app you can read the book (without using kobo or other e-reader).

    Thanks

First I'd like to say that books as stand alone apps make a mess of AppWorld and should be banned. Failing that, they should be given their own section. As it stands now, they're scattered all over, polluting just about every category.

Second, an ePub is just a zip file with a bunch of files (mostly HTML) packed together. Change the file extention to .zip and unpack the file. From there you can use WebWorks to make a really crummy book app in just a few minutes.

It'll be absolutely horrible, just so you know. It'll work just like a webpage which means no pagination, returning you to your last place, etc. Adding those features would take extra work and some programming knowledge.

    Please, don't do this.
