    Is there anyway to extract the blackberry operating system source code from the device or perhaps download it from some place? I am looking to modify the designated size of the icons is why I ask.

    Go to the carriers website, and download the latest OS. I wonder, you might be able to edit the blackberry.alx file...

    I have tryed downloading this and tryed editing the alx files with no luck if some one is able to work this out let me know

    I though the .ALX files were edited already, thats how the locked themes were added? Confused!!!!

    I do believe you would have to rewrite the OS using JDE from RIM, create an ALX and install it.
