I have been working on this for 3 days now, and I am getting more confused. The problem is when I connect my 9860 to my pc via usb, the computer recognizes my device but my desktop manager does not. However, if I plug in my playbook, the dtm does recognize it. Any thoughts or pointers would be deeply appreciated.

reinstall your desktop manager so that the driver for connecting 9860 is reinstalled.
Make sure to connect 9860 at the time of installation.
