    My pearl 8110 is currently on software 4.3.0.93 and I am trying to update the phone to 4.5.0.139. I have downloaded the file and ran it. I then opened desktop manager and clicked on check for updates and it says my phone is up to date. How can I get it to work?

    Try using AppLoader instead. This uses the AppLoader, but not thru the DM. Much easier.

    To elaborate on previous post:

    - close DM
    - go to:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

    - delete file Vendor.xml (it's useless but save it somewhere else, so that you sleep better)
    - run file Loader.exe
