Hello everyone,

Sometimes blackberry likes to delete my whole text history with a friend randomly when I am not looking. The thing is, I regularly backup my blackberry texts. But I do not want to restore all my text messages with my friends. I just want to retrieve for that one SPECIFIC friend.

I am not sure how to do that, because it tells me to backup text messages (all 200,000) of them. Can anyone help me out here? I am afraid if I backup an old file, it will erase all the new text messages I received, after the text restore.

You can't selectively backup or restore messages with DM, it's all or nothing.

...and 200,000 texts? Sorry, but that's a ridiculous amount! What possible reason can you have for needing to keep all of those?

At the end of the day you're using a phone with a limited amount of memory. When that memory is filled, messages are the first thing to go.

Either delete some of those old texts, or continue to lose them... simple as
