our IT dept has set the BES to encrypt Outlook data and store it to the MMC on the Blackberries. It seems that to do so they have locked down the MMC and prevents the user from syncing with their desktop PC via USB or Bluetooth. they tell me that there is no alternative solution to enable them to encrypt the Outlook data.
I find that hard to understand why such data can not be directed to a file on the MMC which is encrypted ??
Any solutions short of removing the card every time you want to add or remove your own data ??
