    I've tried using Javaloader and loader.exe to get this device running but everything has failed so far. At the command line, when I select a file to load such as net_rim_bb_smartcardreader_blackberry_40.cod, it appears to run, disconnects and the device reboots. But the JE 507 error shows in the LCD viewer of the device. I've tried wiping the device but it makes no difference. The battery has been removed for extended periods and then replaced but this has no effect either. Is this thing toast???

    A 507 usually means the device has no OS. What device are you trying to restore? Have you looked at these threads????
