For some reason my 9930 takes forever (5 mins) to connect to the desktop manager whenever I connect them. I have never had this problem with any of my other Blackberry's. Now when I am trying to back up my phone or like today, trying to update to 7.1 not only does it take forever to connect to the phone but for some reason it takes a really long time backing up. It froze again today backing up my text messages.

Anyone else have these issues?

I am having similar issues as well. When I plug my 9930 to PC, the Desktop Sofrtware automatically starts the backup process. However, it freezes up towards the end of the process. The load bar stayed at the same point for at least half an hour. After cancelling the back up, i keep getting the same message when trying to sync files "A problem occurred while attempting to connect to your blackberry device".

Not sure if this is a PC issue or an issue with my Bold :\

Same problem here. With a 9900.

Same here while I could even open my desktop software. It was taking 45"-90" to sync before my software went dead.
