Hi I dont if this has already been posted somewhere, but this my problem, I just tried to go on my dsktop manager with my bb 9700 plugged it my pc keeps saying to close program or to check online whats the issue with the program... and if I open the dsk mangr without my 9700 being plugged in nothing comes up saying to close it... I'm using .586 and I would like to down grade back to the .330 because i'm hate the fact that I cant google everything on my browser since i did the upgrade..

what can be the problem? should I redownload the dsktop mangr??

A screenshot might be helpful. You can always (just to eliminate possibilities) uninstall, reboot and reinstall Desktop Manager.

I would do this first before I wasted any more time trying to figure it out. My want to download it again from BB.com as well.

You did not tell us what DM version you have loaded... I'd recommend removing the version from your PC... then use the Desktop Manager link in my signature below and download the Desktop Software Service Pack 1 (5.0.1) version... watch the options you use when you install it.

hi fatboy or Wnm, I just got an update icon on my homescreen to update to .714.. is this the new tmo update.. I'm downloading in now, i never got this icon before...

.714 is a new OS release from TMO just released yesterday... if you got the icon on your device it is an OTA (Over The Air) download and install link... it takes about 30-45 to upgrade your device that way.

also as i was unistalling my dsktop mngr i noticed I have one for my 8900 its 4.6.1 and i had 2 for my 9700 5.0.1 and media sync. i dont know how I got the 2 for my 9700.. i uninstalled one so far should i do the other or leave it and see if it'll work with this new ota .714?

The old standby function will not return. RIM plans to continue mute only/lock standby as is in later OS versions. .714 is now available for download and desktop install from TMO's site.
