Is Loader.exe from bbsak or is it it's own program?
Loader.exe is the program included with your device software installed on your PC.

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader on 32-bit XP/Vista/Win7
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\Apploader on 64-bit Vista/Win7

BBSAK is a separate program made to be a jlcmdr replacement with a GUI; it can back up your 3rd party apps, do a data wipe, remove/install .cod's, and a few other functions.

I ususally update on my desktop, but for some reason my desktop manager wouldnt let me. It said that there was an update available and when I tried to update, it would keep giving me an error and I didn't have the time to search crackberry for the OS. So OTA was my only choice at the moment.
And this is a perfect example of why having options is a good thing.
