I just tried synching my 8900 with my PC (windows 7 and Outlook 2007, DM 5.0.1.28) and am getting a Microsoft Outlook Connector Error No Available Message Stores error when I try to configure synchronization options.

I looked thru the posts on Crackberry and also googled the error but after looking at many, MANY posts I still cannot get this working. Judging by the amount of people asking about this it has been a problem for quite some time for some users.

    Anyone know a solution?

I have precisely the same problem with Outlook 2010. When I first installed Office 2010 everything worked flawlessly. After two weeks I was no longer able to sync; I received the "No available message stores". I invested almost two hours with AT&T and RIM. RIM advised me that "Outlook 2010 is currently not supported" although it would be eventually. RIM had no idea when that halcyon moment would arrive.

Outlook 2007 as I recall from my experience, required outlook 2003, then install 2007 over it. As for 2010, I gave up on that.

I have had the same problem. I finally got it working by shutting down Outlook and syncing manually.

The latest version OF DM, works perfectly well with Outlook 2007. No need to have OL 2003 installed before.

The problem with Outlook 2010 is a different issue.. You can find details at http://forums.crackberry.com/f153/mi...anager-269932/

I would recommend uninstalling DM, use a registry cleaner, such as CCleaner to delete any leftover entries, reboot.
Now, make sure that your pst (the file where OL stores data), is in its default location (changing this sometimes confuses DM as to where to look for data).
Reinstall DM (download de latest version from RIMs website, (i.e 5.0.1.37).

This has NOT been a problema with OL 2007, what you have been reading all over the Web is the present time incompatibility issue with Outlook 2010.. not 2007.
    I hope this helps!!

I had to uninstall outlook 2010, than reinstall outlook 2007 with hotmail connector 12, than reinstall outlook 2010 to get rid of that message.

Yes, too many of us are pissed at RIM for not having yet released an update for DM.

If Outlook 2007 is not an option for you, there is no way you can make DM work with Outlook 2010...
    Shame on RIM!!!

This is an example of how important it is to read through the entire thread. Thank you lazerus for sharing the link. I was just about to leave when I noticed your posting. just downloaded DM6 and it solved all the issues.

RIM did an excellent job on this version by simplifying the synchronization process and it does sync with Outlook 2010

The fix I found was to install the leaked DM 6.0 and now I can synch no problem!

Same issue here - hope DTM6 fixes this.

The workaround that is getting me by is to update what I want in Outlook then just shut it down. Open Desktop Manager and automagically it will then sync with no problem both ways, side ways, one way... Just won't do it while Outlook is running.

    Win 7 64bit
