You know how applications are released as .jad files

    Like http://server.com/soft/soft_v2.9.8.jad

And then a newer version may be released and that one gone forever...

Well I would like to be able to save each and every version I deem necessary in an archive (just like I do with Win or Linux, in case I need to go back to it...)

what are all of the possible ways to save these?

any straightforward way of archiving a .jar and etc to my http server?

    Thank you...
    PS I am on 9630/5.0.0.732

You can get the raw files via OTA-Downloader:
Blackberry OTA downloader | download free OTA themes to your desktop
works 80% of the time for me.

Or, if you've installed the app on your BB you can use the hackish methods of saving 3rd party applications (e.g. initiate device-upgrade via DM, mid-way check %temp%\#PIN# for CODE files & ALX file.

might be helpful, never used it myself.
