DM upgrade for dummies (read : anyone not a techie/masochist)
1) Do NOT upgrade DM from "Check for Upgrades" in DM
2) Back up Berry
3) Uninstall DM and reboot your computer
4) Download new DM from somewhere (Blackberry home site?)
5) Install new DM
6) Do 1 way sync Outlook to Berry replacing all data in Berry
7) Change sync back to 2 way (if that's the way you work)
8) Prepare yourself for very slow syncs

The only advice I would give: stay, at least for the moment, with 6.1. Do not touch 7.

See the various posts on the problems. Basically it does not sync with Outlook any longer.

I originally had problems when I reverted back to 6.1. I could not set the sync configuration. The DM would basically find nothing to sync. I rebooted everything a couple of times and finally could config the sync parameters. I will not describe the state I was in. Tell me, please tell me how such a piece of e software could be released? Tell me please!

There must have been some serious changes from the last beta version (7.0.0.32) to the one released (7.0.0.43 or 44) . The 7.0.0.32 is what is still on the beta site so I am wondering what happened . The "32" version was quite stable at least on my win7 64bit pc. i hope Playbook os2 works better!

I don't know. Fortunately I had kept mine. Will always do in the future.
