I have the Blackberry Desktop Manager v. 5.01.37 installed on my PC.

Recently, I upgraded to Blackberry Desktop Software version 6.0.

Is this Desktop Software v 6.0 a replacement for the Desktop Manager?? Should I uninstall the older Desktop Manager? Do they both backup 3rd party downloaded apps?

I'll admit I very rarely use the Desktop software and am a bit confused by it's upgrades, etc...

I have used it a couple of times for backups but not on a routine basis.

My current OS is the same that came with the device (listed above).
