When I went to configure the sync I was getting "unknown error" message. I had to go into the clock and turn off "enter bedside mode when charging". Once I did this I was able to setup the sync with Outlook.
I had no problems in configuring the synch in a clean copy of OL2010.
Finally an official release of DM that works properly with OL2010 (32 bits that is).
Bluetooth, backup, music and photo transfers working ok on my 9700. DM says my TMO BB needs an OS update, but I am already running the latest OS from them (.714).
Also, UberTwitter is listed as needing an update... to a previous version! Oh well!

My guess is that this initial version still needs some App support and that is why it sometimes mistakeningly reports an available update...
Could not set up sync for calendar and tasks with OL 2002. Wound of erasing a folder on my drive that I can't get back.
OL2002?? Mmm... have not tried that, I know it works fine with OL2003, 2007 and now 2010. I did not understand your comment about a folder you deleted..
So far everything seems to be working fine. My only issue is when i do a backup i now have to manually label the backup to the current date. On DM5 and below backups would automatically name themselves to the current date.
I'm on Windows 7 64 bit, Office 2007, and hooked into a BES. Has anyone found the Reconcile mail button yet? I have a pst folder that I sort and file all of my mail to... On DM5 it was in the Synchronize window. With DM6 I can't find it....
Thanks in advance for any help...
Also, has anyone found the option to stop sending mail to handheld while plugged into PC yet?
When looking at Applications in DM 6, it shows I need to an update is required for my Storm 9530 Blackberry 5.0.0 Core Applications but won't let me. At the bottom there is a little warning symbol that states Exceed available storage and the Apply button does not work. I've manually deleted a bunch of apps of my BB and still get the same. Arrrgggghhh!
Editing to add that I deleted a bunch of apps and now it'll do the core update. Odd that DM 5 never gave me a problem but 6 did. Oh well...

Reason: Update
Hi, I downloaded it tried it... It seems the Calendar still has issues with office 2010 as in the BB Desktop Software in Select Organizer Data to Synchronize it is mentioned that the Calender (not installed)?!
Now that Roxio seems to have been eliminated, does anyone know how to copy encrypted documents saved on the memory card to your PC without having to email them off the blackberry?
I just tried to do a backup of 3rd party apps on my 9000 using Device Switch (in semi-preparation for having to actually use Device Switch for its intended purpose when I get a Torch tomorrow).
After about 45 minutes, the bar showing how much of the app backup had completed was still hanging at about a 95% completion level. It went no further, and I could only cancel by hitting Back and then Cancel. After that, DM froze, and I had to reboot my 9000 to get out (and do an End Task in Task Manager on my PC to close DM).
WTF? These 3rd party backups using Device Switch in DM 5.0 or under took only a couple of minutes.
With the old desktop manager, when you clicked minimize, the DM disappeared. Now when you click minimize, it stays on your taskbar. For now, I just closed out of DM. Anyone know of another way?

Am I the only one with this problem??
Calendar synch works fine for me.. I use Ol 2010. What Calendar are you using?

When you minimize an app that is the correct way to work, stay in the taskbar.
In my case both, DM5 and 6 always stayed in my taskbar when minimized.
In the old DM, there was an option to hide DM from the taskbar
Yes, you are right in that, there was an option you could select for this to happen. In DM6 I could not find it... I think this is something many people will miss..
